Palestinian protesters clashed with the Israeli forces at a demonstration against the eviction of a local family in the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood, East Jerusalem, Friday.

Protesters gathered outside of the home of the family who had been served the eviction notice and held a prayer service with scuffles happening due to Israeli forces’ attempt to disperse the demonstration.

Some protesters as well as an Israeli police officer were injured, along with photojournalist Mahmoud Illean. Illean, who works with AP news was struck and pushed to the ground by Israeli security forces.

At least two demonstrators were arrested.
