An alleged car explosion rocked central Lugansk on Monday evening near the Office of Lugansk representatives to the Joint Ceasefire Monitoring Mission (JCMM).

Reports suggest that a representative of the self-proclaimed Republic to the mission and his driver were wounded.

“The explosion was an assassination attempt. A car exploded in the parking lot near the office,” said Ivan Filiponenko, a representative of the People’s Militia of the LPR.

Ukraine and the self-proclaimed republics continue to accuse each other of heavy shelling and violations of the Minsk agreements, as recorded by the OSCE monitoring mission.
