France: Catholic priest murdered in Saint-Laurent-sur-Sevre

A Catholic priest was killed in Saint-Laurent-sur-Sevre, western France, on Monday.

According to reports, a suspect handed himself to the local police confessing killing the priest. The man was under investigation over an arson of a 15th-century cathedral in Nantes in July 2020.

French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin has tweeted he will be heading to the region.
