'Freedom' convoys protest COVID restrictions in Canada and the Netherlands

Ottawa’s Parliament Hill was seen flooded with protesters as well as lorry drivers from the ‘Freedom Convoy’ for the second consecutive day, Sunday, as people gathered to oppose COVID restrictions and vaccine mandates put in place to stop the spread of the virus.

The ‘Freedom Convoy’ is a loosely organised convoy of trucks that set out last weekend from British Columbia in a protest against vaccine mandates, that also require truckers returning from the United States to show proof of vaccination.

Meanwhile, protesters in the Netherlands were inspired nonetheless and staged their own ‘Convoy for Freedom’.
