Anti-corona-restriction protesters gathered in the Bavarian city of Schweinfurt on Sunday, despite authorities banning demonstrations following escalating violence over a number of past rallies.

Hundreds of protesters could be seen marching through the streets, before police arrested attendees. A journalist’s details were also recorded with police saying they could not verify press pass details.

Authorities have tightened rules, stipulating that protests may only be stationary, and respect social distancing and mask wearing.
