Germany: Police disperse banned anti-mandatory-vax demo in Berlin

Around 30 anti-mandatory-vaccination demonstrators gathered in Berlin’s Pariser Platz on Saturday, to protest against the government’s COVID restrictions, despite the event being banned.

After the authorities’ request to disperse, several protesters tried to resist and were detained by police forces. One person was reportedly arrested.

Demonstrators have rallied across European cites to express their opposition to measures put in place to curb the spread of the virus, particularly the highly infectious Omicron variant.
