Germany: Pro-Ukraine protesters rally in Munich, demand sanctions on Russian businessmen

Hundreds of pro-Ukraine protesters rallied at Odeonsplatz in Munich to ask for sanctions against Russian businessmen, on Saturday.

The protesters held Ukraine flags and placards with the faces of prominent Russian businessmen, who they accused of having close ties with the Kremlin.

“So Putin’s financiers who are running this whole disinformation campaign against Europe and against Ukraine and are paying for this whole policy of aggression are blocking it,” said one of the rally organizers.

The protest coincided with the second day of Munich Security Conference, where the Ukraine crisis is the main subject of discussion between western leaders.
