Heavy snow hit the eastern state of Thuringia early Saturday overturning a van on the A9 near Thuringia municipality of Dittersdorf.

Emergency services arrived on the scene of the overturned vehicle.

Emergency vehicles ploughed the autobahn slowing down traffic and clearing the roads during the extreme weather.
