The swastika that was engraved onto a block of the Berlin Holocaust memorial has been removed.

A security guard reportedly discovered the vandalism on Tuesday. Footage recorded on Wednesday shows a repaired stele and a cordoned off area.

The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe consists of 2,700 steles to commemorate the six million European Jews of Europe who were murdered by the National Socialists.
