An Athens resident could be seen using the snow-covered streets of Greece’s capital to practice his best ski tricks on Wednesday after a rare snowfall had hit the city.
The snowstorm that blanketed the eastern Mediterranean disrupted road and air traffic.
Many schools switched into online mode as the Greek government announced a holiday in Athens metropolitan area and some other parts of the country.
Several Agean islands, including Syros, Naxos, Tinos, Andros, Mykonos, and Santorini were also hit by snow.
