‘Endangered Beluga Whale EUTHANISED During Rescue Mission’

A beluga whale has died during an unprecedented rescue mission to save it from the Seine River in France.

Having spent a week 100km inland and refusing to eat, rescuers were forced to euthanise the distressed and dangerously thin mammal.

Beluga whales usually live in pods of up to hundreds of whales.
