Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi discussed a variety of topics including the Vienna nuclear talks, as well as US and international sanctions on the country, during an interview marking his 100th day in office, in Tehran, on Sunday.
“The issue of lifting sanctions will be pursued strongly, as will the issue of neutralising the sanctions. That is, in no way will we relate our economy, and the 1401 (2022) budget, to these issues,” he said.
The president also discussed the ongoing nuclear talks in Vienna, which resumed on November 29 after a five-month break.
“They thought we would not take part in the negotiations, they thought we had nothing to say, they thought we would no initiative,” he said. “Thank God, today, it was proved to the whole world that Iran participated [in the talks] with authority and dignity, and presented two texts, on the nuclear issue and on sanctions, in full accordance with what is in the JCPOA.”

SOT, Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, Iranian President (Farsi): “The issue of lifting sanctions will be pursued strongly, as will the issue of neutralising the sanctions. That is, in no way will we relate our economy, and the 1401 (2022) budget, to these issues.”

SOT, Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, Iranian President (Farsi): “We started two missions from the beginning of the administration’s work. One, the neutralization of the sanctions that we have set, and the first vice president is responsible for pursuing it in order to neutralize the sanctions. Second, the issue of sanctions removal was also on the government’s agenda. Well, they thought we would not take part in the negotiations, they thought we had nothing to say, they thought we would no initiative. Thank God, today, it was proved to the whole world that Iran participated [in the talks] with authority and dignity, and presented two texts, on the nuclear issue and on sanctions, in full accordance with what is in the JCPOA. And the work is followed.”

SOT, Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, Iranian President (Farsi): “I am hopeful for the future of the country more than ever and I see the future very clearly, God willing.”

SOT, Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, Iranian President (Farsi): “Our policy with the countries of the world will be active and maximum policy, that is, it will be about [having] active and maximum relations with the world. This is our policy, with the priority of the neighbours and the countries of the region.”

SOT, Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, Iranian President (Farsi): “We consider the trust of the people to be the support of the government. Thank God, the hope that was broken has increased. I feel responsible to all those who voted for me and those who did not. Today, the government considers itself the government of the whole country and the servant of the whole country and all the people of the country.”
