Israeli forces use tear gas as hundreds protest near border fence outside Khan Yunis

Palestinian protesters were met with resistance from Israeli border guards at the border fence near Khan Yunis, south of Gaza, on Wednesday.
Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters into the crowds approaching the fence.
Protesters could be seen throwing canisters back and lighting tyres on fire.
Medics were also seen carrying away injured protesters, with Palestinian media reporting that several people were injured after being hit by live ammunition and rubber bullets.
Palestinian groups have demanded Israel remove its blockade on Gaza and allow for reconstruction after the 11-day air assault on the Strip in May.
