Lithuania: Migrants from camps in Rudninkai village relocated to Kybartai correctional facility

Migrants living in Rudninkai village’s large migration camp were transferred to the Kybartai correctional facility on Sunday.

Footage shows the Kybartai correctional facility, surrounded by a fence with barbed wire, as well as the surrounding areas and a man sitting inside.

Local media reports referencing the Lithuanian minister of internal affairs Agne Bilotaite as saying that the Municipalities of Lithuania had previously taken care of migrants. According to her, migrants were provided with accommodation, food, and medical care.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Lithuania, all migrants who crossed the Belarusian-Lithuanian border have already been resettled and provided with accommodation from the Lithuanian municipalities.
