US President Joe Biden delivers a speech on the COVID-19 Omicron variant in the country in Washington DC on Tuesday, December 21.

Biden is expected to speak about the measures taken by his administration to assist people in need amid rising numbers of infections. He will also issue another warning about tough winter for the Americans reluctant to get vaccinated, following a similar message delivered at the end of last week.

The US has fully vaccinated 61.4 of its adult population against COVID-19.
