EU ministers of foreign affairs are arriving at the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels on Monday, February 21.

The ministers will discuss the latest developments in the situation on the border between Russia and Ukraine and hold a discussion on the European security situation, and are set to speak with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba to reaffirm the EU’s full support for Ukraine, its independence and its territorial integrity.

According to the European Council, at a similar Foreign Council meeting on January 24 the participants reaffirmed full and unwavering support for Ukraine and stated “that Russia’s attempts to re-create dividing lines on the European continent undermine the core foundations and principles on which European security is built”.

Climate policy and the situation in Mali are also expected to be on the meeting’s agenda, among other issues.
