The European Parliament is convening in Strasbourg, on Monday, November 22, to discuss the coordination of member states’ measures in light of increasing cases of COVID-19 in the EU.
Europe is currently experiencing a fourth wave of the coronavirus, registering record high numbers of new daily infections.
Austria decided to impose a general lockdown and is planning make the vaccination compulsory, while Germany had increased limitations for the non-vaccinated even if they test negative for COVID-19.

In France meanwhile a number of schools have been forced to close, while Belgium is returning to homeworking, and mask wearing is to become compulsory. Italy meantime has tightened its ‘Green Pass’ rules for public and private workers.
