EU Defence Ministers arrive at the Foreign Affairs Council on Defence in Brussels on Tuesday, November 16.

The council takes place as Europe is facing a migrant crisis on the border between Belarus and Poland, where thousands of refugees have been stranded for days attempting to enter the EU.

Speaking during the State of Europe address last week head of EU Commission Charles Michel called the situation at the border “a brutal, hybrid attack.”
