LIVE: Italian Parliament votes on new President

Italian members of the two parliament houses plus regional representatives elect the new Head of State in Palazzo Montecitorio, home of the Chamber of Deputies in Rome, on Monday, January 24.
In the form of a secret ballot, 321 Senators, 630 Deputies, and 58 regional representatives will be entitled to vote.
The first three ballots require a two-thirds majority of the 1,009 voters to elect a President, or 673 votes. Starting from the fourth ballot, an absolute majority is required for candidates to be elected, or 505 votes. The presidential mandate lasts seven years.
Incumbent president Sergio Mattarella, elected in 2015 and eligible for re-election, has ruled out a second term.
Prime Minister Mario Draghi is seen as a possible candidate, while Silvio Berlusconi, who initially toted his name, dropped the presidential bid on Saturday. Mandatori credits: Camera dei Deputati
