“Justice for J6” candlelight vigil will be held outside Washington DC jail on Thursday, January 6 in solidarity with people jailed for participating in last year’s Capitol riot.

Thousands of supporters of the former US President Donald Trump broke into the Capitol building a year ago, disrupting the session held to officially confirm Joe Biden as the presidential election winner. Five people died during the riots, including a Capitol police officer.

About 40 people have been jailed following the riot.​
