US State Department Spokesperson Ned Price is holding a press conference in Washington DC on Tuesday, August 17.

The press conference takes place after Taliban fighters successfully took over Afghanistan after entering Kabul on Sunday.

President Ashraf Ghani fled the country and the US completed evacuation of all personnel from its embassy.

The recent Taliban offensive follows the US and other NATO forces’ ongoing withdrawal from the country.
