President of the European Commision Ursula von der Leyen speaks to the press after meeting US President Joe Biden on Wednesday, November 10 in Washington DC during an official visit.

The leaders are expected to follow up on their recent meetings both at the G20 summit in Rome as well as the COP26 in Glasgow.

Topics such as the ongoing fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and trade relations are expected to be discussed.

Recently, both leaders agreed to solve a dispute over the steel and aluminium trade, lifting retaliatory tariffs that have been in place since 2029, as well as to make this industry more sustainable and climate-friendly.
