President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky holds a news conference in Kiev on Monday, February 28.
The statement comes as delegations from Kiev and Moscow are holding discussions at the Ukraine-Belarus border after days of Russian military offence in Ukraine.
Russia launched its military offence across Ukraine in the early hours of Thursday, in a move strongly condemned by world leaders. After Russia’s actions, Europe, the US, and the UK strongly condemned and announced sanctions against Russia, targeting several Russian banks, individuals, and bilateral trade. A targeted SWIFT sanction for some Russian banks has also been introduced by the US, UK and the EU.
