‘‘MERCENARIES’ Who Assassinated Haiti’s President Are Killed in Police Gun Battle’

The First Lady of Haiti was airlifted to the US after the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse.

Martine Moïse was badly injured after gunmen raided their home in Haiti’s capital Port-au-Prince. The embattled president of the Caribbean nation was attacked early on Wednesday morning.

A heavy police presence surrounded the presidential residence as his body was removed. Officers announced that they’d found and killed four of the suspects hours after the assassination.
