An earthquake, measuring 7.0-magnitude, has struck the Pacific coastal town of Acapulco on Wednesday. One person was killed by by a post collapsing.

The tremors were felt as far away as Mexico City, 375km (230 miles) away.

The earthquake triggered a US tsunami warning, which later passed without threat.
