A 7.0-magnitude earthquake has struck the south-west coastal town of Acapulco on Wednesday killing one.

The tremors were felt as far away as Mexico City, 375km (230 miles) away.

Commuters at a Mexico City underground train station could been seen sticking to the walls, fearing the structure could collapse.

The earthquake triggered a US tsunami warning, which later passed without threat.
