Migrant caravan pushes north in the hope to reach US border

Around 2,000 migrants from Central America continued their trek towards the United States border.

The migrants formed a large group to avoid being dispersed and detained by Mexico’s migration authorities.

Mexico requires that visa applicants remain in the border state where they submit their claim until it has been processed.

However this can take several months and as tens of thousands are waiting, some felt unable to stay there any longer.
