Millions of people have been forced to evacuate after weeks of torrential rains caused the worst flooding in China in recent decades.

Disaster relief works are underway in China’s Chongqing municipality, as authorities report at least 141 people have died or are missing in the floods that have affected more than 30 million people.

The downpours have led to serious damage to livelihoods and infrastructure, while the country is trying to revive its economy amid the coronavirus pandemic.
