Funerals have taken place across Myanmar for protesters killed by security forces.

Mourners lined the streets to pay their respects to victims, including university student Kyal Sin.

Wednesday’s death toll was the highest since the country’s military ousted elected leader Aung San Suu Kyi in February.

More than 50 civilians are confirmed to have been killed by police and soldiers since then.

Dramatic video also shows the arrest of Associated Press journalist Thein Zaw in Yangon on Saturday.

Authorities in Myanmar charged several members of the media with violating a public order law that could see them imprisoned for up to three years.

Several thousand anti-coup demonstrators have since returned to the streets to continue protests.
