Police in Rotterdam clashed with protesters during a demonstration against COVID restrictions in Rotterdam on Friday night.

Batons were used and later in the evening water cannons were deployed to attempt to disperse the crowd.

Demonstrations are expected in multiple cities throughout Europe over the weekend as governments raise restrictions due to the increase in COVID cases.
