New building of Secretariat of Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States inaugurated in Istanbul

The ceremonial opening of the new building of the Secretariat of the Turkic Council was held on the sidelines of the summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States in Istanbul on Friday.

The heads of state and government cut a ribbon to mark the official opening of the new Secretariat building and hoisted state flags of the summit countries.

Leaders from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, as well as the Prime Minister of Hungary and the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States took part in the ceremony.

The council is set to discuss strengthening cooperation within the organisation with a focus on trade development, digitalisation and green technologies. The leaders are expected to adopt a number of resolutions and sign the Istanbul Declaration, which will be the final document presented of the summit.
