The Chaman border crossing between Pakistan and Afghanistan was a hive of activity on Saturday, as the Taliban continues to advance in territories across the border following the withdrawal of US troops.
Spin Boldak, the border town on the Afghani side of the Bad Dosti gate at Chaman is caught in the conflict between Afghan forces and the Taliban, who have reportedly taken control of the area.
Recently, the Taliban claimed control over two of Afghanistan’s biggest cities, Kandahar and Herat, two of the group’s largest military victories since it began its offensive in May.
The Pentagon said it would send around 3,000 extra troops to help evacuate embassy staff.
