A group of refugees staying on the Belarusian side of the Poland-Belarus border forced entry by knocking a fence and crossing into Poland near the village of Usnarz Gorny in the North-East of the country on Wednesday.
Polish security forces are seen in the footage spraying pepper spray and apprehending the refugees.
There has been an increase in recent months in refugees flowing from Belarus and into Poland and the EU. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko was accused by the Polish government of shepherding the refugees through Belarus. It is speculated that this is in response to the sanctions placed on Belarus by the EU following their taking control of a Ryanair plane in May to arrest a dissident.
Germany and Poland announced on Wednesday that their shared border would receive increased joint border patrols due to the increased influx from Belarus.
It is estimated that over 5,000 refugees have entered Germany via the route since August, according to official police figures.
