Poland: Protesters demonstrate after Polish highest court says EU laws are unconstitutional

A group of protesters gathered outside the Warsaw Constitutional Tribunal on Thursday after the Polish Court declared some EU laws unconstitutional.
Protesters holding Polish flags and pro-EU signs were demonstrating discontent at the court’s controversial decision to rule that parts of the EU treaties are incompatible with the Polish constitution.
The debate was triggered by the article stating Brussels laws take priority over conflicting national legislation and another one concerning the binding nature of decisions of the European Court of Justice.
The decision raises questions concerning Poland’s continued participation in the EU without respecting legal regulations.
