President-elect Joe Biden Unveils $1.9 TRILLION Coronavirus Stimulus Package

Joe Biden has doubled down on his promise to deliver 100 million Covid-19 vaccines in his first 100 days as president, announcing a $1.9 trillion relief package to aid efforts against the coronavirus pandemic.

Ahead of his inauguration, the president-elect’s wide-ranging plan aims to bolster vaccination and testing efforts, as well as apportioning $1 trillion in relief to families, via direct payments and unemployment insurance.

Meanwhile in New York, false rumours of a surplus in vaccine doses at the Brooklyn Army Terminal spread online. Hopefuls queued on the sidewalk and in cars, but were told that only those over the age of 65 or with prior medical conditions were eligible for the inoculation.
