Prince Andrew DRAGGED into US Sex Assault Case

Prince Andrew will face trial over allegations he sexually assaulted Virginia Giuffre after a US judge rejected his attempt to dismiss the civil claim.

The judge heard arguments from lawyers representing the royal and his accuser before refusing to throw out the lawsuit.

Giuffre is suing the Duke claiming he “committed sexual assault and battery” when she was 17-years-old.

He has consistently denied the allegations with his legal team arguing Giuffre’s 2009 settlement with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein shielded him from her lawsuit.

The documents, which were unsealed in January, reveal she was awarded $500,000 to relinquish all lawsuits against Epstein and agree not to sue other “potential defendants”.

Giuffre describes being sexually exploited by “royalty” in the 12-page document but does not refer to Prince Andrew by name.
