Puerto Rico: Dozens attend rally for independence movement in San Juan

Dozens marched in the streets of San Juan in support of Puerto Rico’s independence on Saturday.
Demonstrators were seen holding carrying pro-independence banners, with some carrying guns with roses in the barrels.
The rally titled “No to statehood, Yes to decolonization” was also attended by PIP party member Juan Dalmau Ramirez who said, “Hector Pesquera, member of the Hostosian National Independence Movement, was also in attendance saying.”
Puerto Rico has been an unincorporated territory of the United States since 1898. Dueling movements support the island becoming the 51st US state or its full independence.
