Friends and fans welcomed the Russian Olympic Committee team athletes returning from the 2022 Beijing Olympics at Sheremetyevo airport in Moscow, on Friday.

People with placards and flags cheerfully and excitedly greeted the returning athletes.

The member of freestyler Ilya Burov’s support group Andrey Shikalev noted that sport unites people.

“No one is divided into countries and continents here. The guys train together, not only compete together, but the training bases are shared throughout the year - both pre-season training and the whole season,” he said.

Freestyle skier Ilya Burov, who has returned from Beijing with a bronze medal in his discipline, had the same opinion.

“We are all friends all the time: Ukraine, Belorussia, we [Russia]. We’re fine,” athlete is sure.
