Russia: Strong winds damage battlements of Moscow Kremlin

Strong winds blew off a piece of scaffolding on the Moscow Kremlin on Friday, damaging the battlements of the wall.

Access to the square was temporarily shut down but no one was injured in the incident, officials said.

Earlier on Friday, the Moscow branch of Russia’s Emergencies Ministry issued a weather warning for the region, where gusts of up to 20 metres per second could blow.
