Shots Fired as Gunman Holds 20 Hostages on Bus in Ukraine

An armed man has taken over a bus with about 20 passengers on board in Lutsk, Ukraine.

The man has threatened to blow up the vehicle with explosives he claims he’s carrying.

Shots have been fired, but there have been no casualties reported so far.

Counter-terrorism police have surrounded the area and cordoned off the city centre, while negotiations with the suspect are underway.

A video has emerged of the man making a statement to camera, in which he says: “Happy Anti-System Day. Don’t fool yourselves. Celebrate the truth.”
