Slovenia: Komenda locals welcome Olympic medalist Pogacar as he returns home

Tadej Pogacar was given a warm homecoming welcome in Komenda on Friday, after returning from the Tokyo Olympics with a bronze medal in cycling road race.
Pogacar’s mother Marjeta commented on the event, saying she was positively surprised by the crowd who showed up to welcome her son.
Earlier this year, the 22-year-old won the Tour de France, making history by becoming the first cyclist from Slovenia to win the tournament and an Olympic medal in the same year.
