Bare-breasted activists from the feminist group Femen held a flash mob in Madrid on Sunday, disrupting a rally held by far-right groups to honour the anniversary of the death of Spain’s former dictator Francisco Franco.
Police officers intervened quickly, taking several activists into custody.
During their arrest, a far-right protester was seen spitting on one of the activists.
Franco ruled Spain from 1939 until his death from a septic shock in November 1975.
