Crowds of anti-coup activists demonstrated against the ruling military government in Khartoum on Sunday.

Demonstrators could be seen setting on fire barricades and throwing tear gas canisters while protesting the current government, which took power last month with a military coup.

The protest came ahead of a planned meeting between army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and ousted prime minister Abdalla Hamdok.
