Two little panda cubs recently born at the Madrid Zoo Aquarium received their first veterinary check-up on Tuesday.
Born the day before, the twins weigh 171.4 and 137.4 grams respectively and are in good health, as confirmed by the centre’s veterinary technical team after the neonatal check-up carried out in collaboration with breeding technicians from the Chengdu Giant Panda Base.
The sex of the cubs remains unknown, as the sexual characteristics are not yet clearly marked. In the coming days, the Chengdu technicians will be able to confirm this with greater certainty.
