Intense ash emissions from the Cumbre Vieja volcano have forced some schools to be closed and flights cancelled on the Spanish island of La Palma.
Footage from Wednesday shows the continued volcanic activity as the sky is filled with a dense cloud of smoke and ash.
The abundant volume of ash expelled by the volcano during the last four days has considerably worsened the air quality and left sediment on roads, roofs and sports facilities.
The bad weather conditions, caused by the ash cloud, forced the cancellation of flights to and from La Palma.
