State of Palestine: Israeli police on high alert following third day of clashes in West Bank

Dozens of Palestinians were seen clashing with IDF forces in Bethlehem on Friday as Israeli police announced a statewide ‘Level 2’ alert - the second-highest level - in the region.
Palestinians can be seen running from IDF soldiers as officers launched tear gas at protesters. Demonstrators also set up barriers and burned rubber tires on the street. No casualties were reported as of yet.
The West Bank faced a third day of violent confrontations following calls by Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and other Palestinian factions for a “day of rage” to protest against Israel’s decision to transfer Palestinian prisoners from the Gilboa Prison.
There were also reports of clashes in Jenin, Hebron, Gush Etzion and Nablus.
