A suspected thief who attempted a getaway in a stolen ambulance has been arrested after an hours-long police chase through Dallas, Texas.

Police pursed the suspect after the vehicle was reported stolen from a local fire station.

After becoming stuck while off-roading following a series of close calls with oncoming traffic, the would-be ambulance thief attempted to evade police on foot, but was cornered by officers and arrested.
