LGBT supporters held a massive rally in Bangkok on Sunday, as the Constitutional Court rejected a challenge to the constitutional prohibition of same-sex marriage.

Activists demanded marriage equality, equal rights for all genders and sexualities.

“We are here to tell them that it is not fair and especially in Thailand, where the Ministry of Tourism advertises that Thailand is a gay-friendly country, and them not allowing people of the same sex getting married is hypocritical,” said a demonstrator.

Thailand’s Constitutional Court rejected a plea for marriage equality by upholding marriage law, stating that marriage can only be contracted between women and men.
