Riot police used water cannons and tear gas to disperse anti-government protesters as clashes escalated in Bangkok on Sunday.

Demonstrators were seen throwing Molotov cocktails and smoke bombs towards officers following a massive protest.

The rally is the latest in a series of demonstrations demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha’s resignation over the handling of the COVID pandemic.​
