Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro slammed FC Barcelona, expressing solidarity with Argentine football star Lionel Messi after he left Barca.

Maduro confessed that he cried while watching the Argentine striker’s farewell press conference held on Sunday. “I cried with him, when I saw him crying, I cried. Because he is a good, authentic boy, a great sporting glory of the world.”

The 34-year-old Argentine striker signed a two-season contract worth 35 million euros ($41 million) with PSG on Tuesday for two seasons, with an option for another year, following his departure from Barcelona on Sunday.
